Big Bone Gardens

Big Bone Gardens is located in Union, Kentucky across from Big Bone Lick State Park (which is a great place to hike if you're in the area).  It's a six acre private garden that includes 7 water gardens, an herb garden, and an adorable gnome garden.

The garden is open to the public on weekends from mid-April through mid-July.  The hours are from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Admission is free.

  1. Big Bone Lick State Park. LOL! And I thought the town of Toad Suck in Arkansas was funny.

  2. Hi Sherry - like Diane ... I'd visit for the name ... presumably it's a dinosaur area. But a delight to be able to wander around the gardens ... cheers Hilary

  5. I think way back in the day when I was a kid my family and I camped at the park. It sure sounds familiar to me. Don't think the gardens were there at the time, feel sure Mom would have wanted to tour them. Looks very pretty.

    1. Yep. More problems in my life, so my visits to blogland, at least for now, are few and far between.
