Biltmore Estate Gardens

If you are ever in Asheville, North Carolina, the Biltmore Estate Gardens are something you definitely want to visit!  The estate sits on 8,000 acres of beautifully manicured grounds, and includes a four-acre walled garden, and Italian garden with statues and a pool, a spring garden, an azalea garden, a bass pond, and woodland trails.

The chateau is quite a masterpiece.  This former residence of George Vanderbilt was completed in 1895 and has 250 rooms!  Visitors will see vintage clothing, furniture, and beautiful artwork.

The estate is open from the end of March to the beginning of November. Hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily.  Admission for adults is $44.00.  Kids are free with adult admission.  The price of admission includes a self guided tour through the mansion and the grounds.

  1. Been to Asheville but never went to the Biltmore. However, I did just win some chocolate and a key chain from the Biltmore from Samantha Geary!

  2. Oh my, we were in Asheville several years ago and visited
the home and gardens! I could have stayed there ALL day.
Such craftmanship of the gardens, landscape and the home
itself. One MUST visted here at least once in their life!

  3. We loved our Asheville trip and the Biltmore Estate was fantastic. Good eats at the Tupelo Honey Café in downtown Asheville. They had a lack of rain that year and the gardens were a tad parched. But I have no doubt they are spectacular in the spring. I'd go back there in a heartbeat

    1. Never went to the Cafe. If I'm ever that way again, I'll have to check it out.

  4. What a colourful location. Has a bit of a European feel about it. Judging by the comments, a grand place to visit.

    Thank you, Sherry.

  5. I've heard going at Christmastime is the best because of the lights. It takes a full day to see everything and we've just never had that much time.

  7. I am tempted to plan a vacation just seeing some of these US gardens! $44 is a lot but it looks like it's well worth it.
