Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens is located on the northern slope of Victoria Peak in Hong Kong, China. Founded in 1871, it is one of the oldest of its kind in the world. It covers about 15 acres, and features 1,000 species of plants from tropical and subtropical climates.
There are many gardens featured here, including a Bamboo Garden, Magnolia Garden, Greenhouse, Palm Garden, Azalia Garden, Herb Garden, and a Bauhinia Garden, which features the Hong Kong Orchid tree, a plant not found anywhere else in the world.
The gardens are open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Admission is free.
It would be wonderful to see this garden. I'm going to post on the Japanese garden we have in our city. It is very tiny but beautiful.
