Fin Garden

Fin Garden, located in Kashan, Iran, is a fine example of an historical Persian garden.  Foundations for the garden were begun in the late 1600s under the reign of Abbas I of Persia.

The garden covers about 6 acres and contains a lot of water features.  The walled garden is a sharp contrast to the surrounding desert.  Surprisingly, all of the water is supplied by a spring located behind the building.

While the garden's most notable features are the blue-green tiled canals, visitors will also enjoy the cypress trees, almond, apple, and cherry trees.  Flowers include lilies, roses, jasmine, violets, and tulips. The garden is open daily from 8 AM - 7 PM.

    1. Most people don't think of gardens when they think of Iran. Tomorrow's garden will also be from Iran.

  7. The Fin garden reminds me of an enchanted forest. Again I love it. Have you ever thought of doing a book and compile them all. I would buy it.

    1. I hadn't thought of compiling a book. Most of my writing is for children, so it never crossed my mind. I'll have to think about that. Thanks for the suggestion!
