California State University Northridge Botanic Garden

California State University Northridge Botanic Garden, located in Northridge, California, was opened in 1959.  It covers 1.5 acres and has a greenhouse and a collection of about 1200 plant species from regions all over the world.

California State University students use it for class assignments and research projects.  It is however, open to the public.  Visitors will see cacti, tropical plants, herbs, and a variety of butterflies and birds.

The garden is open year round, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM.  Admission is free.

    1. It's funny how many little treasures can be where you live, and you don't even know it!
