Jardin du Palais Royal

Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties with blogger, I am unable to post pictures of this garden.  If the issue gets resolved, I will come back and post the pictures.

Jardin du Palais, in Paris, France, is located opposite the north wing of the Louvre.  The palace was the residence of Cardinal Richelieu.  The gardens around it were designed in 1629, and completed in 1639.

It's a lovely place to visit and relax.  Visitors will see rows of lime trees, 2 long lawns, and a fountain in a central pond.  There are a lot of statues and pretty flowering areas as well.

The garden in open daily June 1 - August 31 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, September from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM, and October 1 - March 1 from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM.  Admission is free.

  1. I've had picture issues too. I resorted to Picasa web album, but it's annoying to not be able to upload from your own computer.

Now - on to your post. I have no doubt this garden is gorgeous. Just the French word "Jardin" is full of promise.

    2. Hopefully I'll be able to post pictures again. So far, the problem remains. I'll have to take a look at Picasa.
