Big Bone Gardens

I'm still having problems posting pictures, so I apologize that you can't see images of Big Bone Gardens.  This garden is located in Union, Kentucky across from Big Bone Lick State Park (which is a great place to hike if you're in the area) .  It's a six acre private garden that includes 7 water gardens, an herb garden, and an adorable gnome garden.

The garden is open to the public on weekends from mid April through mid July.  The hours are from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Admission is free.

  1. Ooh, I want to see it!

I've decided to start up my dream garden this year in my new back yard. Fingers crossed. It might take me years to get it right, but at least I can start.

  4. I used to live in Northern Kentucky, near Florence. I grew up in the area and have been camping at Big Bone a few times. I never knew there was a garden there, but would be interested in seeing it.

  5. Sorry the images aren't working for you.

Have you ever been to Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island? Absolutely amazing.

  6. Love the name - Big Bone. It just creates an image. But the thought of teensy gnomes in the Big Bone garden is hilarious. Very fun. (and yes, this photo issue is very annoying!!! You are not alone)
